Sometimes is the craziness of day to day life, I forget what a great guy I married. Today not only did he stay at home with Jake because school was already out for break and I had one more day left, but he came to my rescue as well. I have this tendency to take on too much and become very overwhelmed. Well today happened to be the day when everything I had volunteered to do or planned on doing had to be done. Not only did I have to get Alex's snacks to his school but I had to get ready for my class party as well. To add to this madness, I decided to bake at 7 p.m. last night so that Alex and I would have gifts to give to our dear staff members, friends and ( me) co workers at school. Poor Allen ended up picking up the pieces of all things I was trying to finish. Without complaint, he finished dipping the buckeyes in chocolate and then in the a.m. helped me to package them all up. While this may seem like a lot to ask of one dear husband, I have to say I did not stop asking there. Allen came to my rescue at school as well when I could not figure out how I was going to fit 10boxes of toys that Beta club had collected into my car and deliver them to the drop off center. With Jake in tow, Allen came up to school and rearranged the boxes so that every last one fit and then delivered the gifts. All the while dealing with a cranky toddler and worrying that he would not make it on time have lunch with Alex. I would love to say this was the end of the rescuing but Allen had a really busy day as Super Dad/husband. At 2:00, he got to be a room "mom" for Alex's first kindergarten party. At said party the poor man got lumped into the group as "the moms" but took in stride and made his son very proud to have the only dad at the party. All I can say is that I am very lucky to have such an understanding and supportive guy like Allen.

Pictures
So, last weekend I had the brilliant idea to take my children to Santa's village. We( well, everyone but Jake) had a great time. The only problem was that the kids got sick and had to stay home all week. If you have never been to Santa's village it is an adventure not to be missed. I hope you enjoy the pictures. Alex is our little picture ham and loves to pose. Jake on the other hand not so much.

Choosing a name
Okay, so we are very new at creating a blog spot and who knew that choosing a name would be so difficult. Allen was no help at all! Alex was very creative but was vetoed! However, we discovered he is ready to add to our family but by how many we do not agree. His suggestion was the Blanton 5 and then the Blanton 100.
